Our forests are suffering new threats and urgently need your help. Since Governor Mitch Daniels assumed office, he has increased the commercial logging in the state forests to a level 500% of what it was at the beginning of his term. Based on a myth that burning biomass is carbon neutral, several misguided federal laws now define the burning of trees, and just about everything else, as renewable energy. Large energy corporations everywhere are rushing to cash in on burning our forests for their profit.
The IFA works through grassroots campaigns that include public education, policy advocacy, legislative education, and litigation. Our 501c3 non-profit budget comes almost entirely from donations by people like you, and your gifts mean a lot to us.
